A story of revival: Sona Gevorgyan

Sona Gevorgyan is a teacher who, before the war, had decided to move to Artsakh — to live, work, and continue her professional path there.

For her, that period was the beginning of a new life and new dreams. But it was interrupted by the war. After the war, Sona found herself facing uncertainty, loss, and serious difficulties, forced to leave behind the life she had been trying to build.

During this painful period, she decided to take part in the Foundation’s group support sessions.

“These were not just sessions. They felt like a big and honest conversation — something many people need today. It was an opportunity to listen to one another, to share, to understand, and to find strength again,” Sona says.

The group work became an important stage in her recovery. There, she began to feel that she was not alone in what she was going through, and that there were people who understood her pain and were ready to support her.
